To foster friendship, goodwill, peace and unity among all Sri Lankans in Massachusetts and neighboring states.
To take steps to sustain the Sri Lankan cultural traditions among the Sri Lankans in U.S. and to promote the Sri Lankan culture.
To promote awareness and interests of Sri Lankan economic and political situation.
To organize social, welfare, and cultural activities for the benefit of Sri Lankans.
To welcome and support the newly arriving Sri Lankans, especially students.
To commemorate events of National importance in Sri Lanka.

The Boston Marathon of 2013 changed Patriots Day forever. While we are painfully absorbing the recent tragedy here in Boston, united we stand tall and strong. We will get through this!

On behalf of the Sri Lankans of New England, SLANE sends our thoughts and prayers to families and friends closely affected by this senseless tragedy.

Discover Sri Lanka Event & Sri Lankan New Year Celebrations

The Discover Sri Lanka is an annual program for our children to learn their heritage in a fun an exciting manner. All of us who are far from Sri Lanka are naturally challenged to share the traditions and the exciting elements of our culture with our next generation. Discover Sri Lanka is an event designed by the younger leaders in our Sri Lankan community for the younger Sri Lankan community. Your children’s participation will not only help them learn about Sri Lanka, but also expose them and inspire them towards the fine leadership skills of our youth who are taking the lead in pulling
