Aid for Sri Lanka Crisis
A fundraiser is organized by Sri Lanka Association of New England
To our Sri Lankan community members, families, and friends all over the world—Sri Lanka needs you now more than ever.
Sri Lanka is in crisis, and a majority of the people who call this country home are in imminent danger of starvation. The Sri Lankan people have been met with 13+ hour power cuts, dangerous shortages of much-needed food and medicine, and a scarcity of healthcare supplies needed for medical surgeries and procedures. The hardest hit are those living at or below the poverty line and whose day to day income has been severely affected by these power cuts and supply shortages. Many Sri Lankan families cannot afford basic food and medical necessities. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards local community organizations supporting people of ALL ethnic backgrounds in Sri Lanka.

2021 SLANE FALL FEST FUNDRAISER DONATION UPDATES — See your valued donations at work. Thank you for your continued support!
The SLANE Fall Fest fundraiser was held on October 23, 2021 in Acton, MA, and featured the 6Plus Band. The total funds raised was $7,960 and 100% of the funds were used to fulfill dire needs of four rural Sri Lankan hospitals that the SLANE committee voted to support. SLANE is pleased to announce that amidst much difficulty with sourcing products and organizing delivery, we have completed three of the four

The hospitals and the donation items are listed below:
- Base Hospital Mannar – Neonatal pulse oximeter, syringe pump and infusion pump donated on February 23, 2022
- Base Hospital Wathupitiwala – Multipara monitor donated on April 28, 2022
- Base Hospital Wellawaya – Basin with wheels (2), Stainless steel glass cupboard, Stainless steel small cupboard with wheels donated on May 30, 2022
- Base Hospital Homagama – will be updated shortly
